Geoffrey Longhurst has been with Peak Trust Company since 2019 and serves as a Compliance Specialist. In this role, Geoffrey works closely with regulators, third-party auditors, and internal teams to support the ongoing development and administration of Peak’s regulatory and fiduciary compliance program. His work helps ensure the firm continues to maintain strong compliance practices and effectively manage regulatory and operational risk.
In addition to his compliance responsibilities, Geoffrey co-chairs Peak’s Operations Technology Steering Committee, a subcommittee of the firm’s Trust Committee focused on strengthening operational effectiveness through the thoughtful adoption and improvement of technology. He also serves on the Risk Committee of Peak Trust Company’s Board of Directors, contributing to the firm’s broader risk management and oversight efforts.
Prior to joining Peak full-time, Geoffrey interned with the company during the summer of 2016, gaining valuable experience within both the operations and trust administration departments. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science, with a minor in French, from South Dakota State University.
Geoffrey holds the Certified Fiduciary and Investment Risk Specialist (CFIRS) designation from Cannon Financial Institute and is a member of the Fiduciary & Investment Risk Management Association (FIRMA), an organization dedicated to advancing risk management and compliance practices within the fiduciary and financial services industries.
