Heather Dolan

Heather Dolan serves as a Fiduciary Assistant at Peak Trust Company’s Alaska office, a role she has held since 2021. As part of the fiduciary administration team, Heather supports Fiduciary Officers in managing all aspects of trust account oversight including records maintenance, transaction processing, preparing client communications and annual tax coordination. She excels in providing accurate, timely responses to client inquiries and partner requests.

In her work, Heather upholds strict procedures around account security, documentation, compliance protocols and maintaining excellent service levels. She plays a crucial coordination role by assisting Fiduciary Officers with beneficiary correspondence, money movement, brokerage interactions and day-to-day account administration.

A lifelong Alaskan, Heather joined Peak Trust Company after working as a trust and estates paralegal at a local law firm, leveraging her background in estate planning legal support. She earned her Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Paralegal Studies from the University of Alaska Anchorage.

In her free time, Heather enjoys biking and hiking to soak up the Alaska sunshine. As part of Peak’s trust administration team in Alaska, she provides excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in support of smooth trust account management and operations.

Abbi Failing

Abbi Failing serves as Human Resources Coordinator at Peak Trust Company, supporting core HR functions across all offices. She joined Peak in 2025 and brings a diverse background in personnel coordination, organizational operations, and administrative support to the role.

In her position, Abbi assists with employee onboarding, supports internal communications, and helps maintain accurate and timely documentation of HR-related processes. Her focus on consistency, discretion, and team collaboration directly supports Peak’s goal of cultivating a high-performing and engaged workplace. 

Abbi professional background includes over a decade of experience working in fast-paced and high-responsibility environments, where she developed a reputation for reliability, strong communication, and mission-driven execution. Her experience coordinating across departments, managing confidential materials, and navigating complex workflows allows her to thrive in her role supporting Peak’s growing team.

She holds Associate degrees in Aviation Operations and Allied Health Sciences from the Community College of the Air Force. Known for her professionalism and adaptability, Abbi is a valuable member of the HR team helping to drive operational excellence and employee support at Peak Trust Company.

Jeannie Fanning

Jeannie Fanning serves as Chief Operating Officer at Peak Trust Company, working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Leadership Team to advance the firm’s strategic vision and operational excellence. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring that the firm’s strategic priorities are effectively executed across all departments.

As a key member of the executive leadership team, Jeannie plays an integral role in shaping and implementing firmwide strategy. She partners with leadership to develop long-term strategic initiatives, translate high-level objectives into actionable plans, and monitor progress against defined goals. Through strong organizational alignment and clear accountability, she helps ensure that priorities remain focused and execution remain consistent.

Jeannie provides leadership over cross-functional operations, driving collaboration and efficiency across the organization. She leads high-impact initiatives, develops performance metrics, and implements scalable systems to support growth. Her work includes structuring teams, integrating technology, strengthening quality, and advancing continuous improvement. Through clear communication and change management, she enhances operational effectiveness and the client and employee experience.

With more than 20 years of experience in people centered leadership, compliance, and organizational change management, Jeannie brings a disciplined and strategic approach to service operations. She has deep expertise in workflow optimization, regulatory compliance, risk management, and data-driven decision-making, as well as leading large-scale initiatives from development through execution. Her leadership emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and sustainable growth.

Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Alaska Pacific University, Jeannie’s leadership and operational expertise play a critical role in supporting Peak Trust Company’s long-term success.

Gretchen Grau, CSOP, CTOP

Gretchen Grau has been with Peak Trust Company since 2012 and currently serves as Senior Operations Specialist in Peak’s Alaska office. In this role, Gretchen is responsible for cash management and balancing, processing electronic transactions for incoming and outgoing distributions, processing trades, and posting transactions to client accounts. In addition to her fiduciary operations role, Gretchen is a contributing member of Peak’s Operations Technology Steering Committee, a subcommittee of the firm’s trust committee focused on the continuous improvement of Peak’s operational excellence through the adoption of technology.

Prior to joining Peak, she worked in office management for over 10 years. Gretchen brings a broad range of experience in business administration and operations to her role. 

Gretchen earned her Certified Securities Operations Professional (CSOP) and Certified Trust Operations Professional (CTOP) designations from the Cannon Financial Institute.

Jenelle Green

Jenelle Green joined Peak Trust Company in 2023 and serves as Tax Officer in the firm’s Nevada office. In this role, Jenelle oversees fiduciary tax compliance and reporting for Nevada administered trusts, ensuring accurate and timely preparation, coordination, and filing of required tax returns. She plays a key role in supporting trustees, clients, and advisors by helping navigate the complexities of fiduciary income taxation.

Jenelle is responsible for coordinating the preparation and review of Form 1041 returns, managing trust tax reporting requirements, overseeing tax withholding across trust investments, and facilitating distributions with tax implications in mind. She works closely with external CPAs and tax professionals to address notices, audits, and technical tax matters, serving as a central point of contact to ensure issues are resolved efficiently and in alignment with fiduciary responsibilities.

With more than 12 years of tax experience, Jenelle brings significant technical expertise and a strong attention to detail to her role. Her background includes extensive experience interpreting tax regulations, managing compliance matters, and working directly with individuals and businesses to resolve complex tax situations.

Prior to joining Peak Trust Company, Jenelle served with the Internal Revenue Service for over 12 years, including her most recent role as a Revenue Officer. In that capacity, she handled sensitive tax matters, conducted financial analysis, and worked closely with taxpayers to achieve compliance.Jenelle is also an Enrolled Agent, federally authorized to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. Her experience with the IRS provides her with valuable insight into regulatory processes and enforcement considerations, enhancing the depth of expertise she brings to Peak’s fiduciary tax administration.

Jenelle earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, with an emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising and a minor in Fashion Merchandising, from Weber State University. Her combination of technical tax knowledge, regulatory experience, and client focused approach strengthens Peak Trust Company’s comprehensive fiduciary services.

Daniel Grondahl, CIPM

Daniel Grondahl has been with Peak Trust Company since 2020 and serves as Senior Investment Operations Officer. In this role, Daniel supports the firm’s investment management function by overseeing investment systems, portfolio management processes, and performance monitoring across all investment accounts. Working directly with the Chief Investment Officer, he ensures the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of Peak’s investment reporting infrastructure, serving as the operational foundation of the Investment Management team.

Daniel is responsible for maintaining and validating investment platforms, producing detailed performance and benchmarking analyses, monitoring portfolio allocations, and strengthening internal controls related to investment data. He partners closely with Fiduciary Officers and Operations to ensure alignment between portfolio reporting and fiduciary administration. With a strong focus on systems optimization and technology integration, Daniel helps enhance automation, improve data accuracy, and support informed investment oversight at the firm level.

Prior to joining Peak, Daniel spent over a decade in the financial services industry, specializing in investment performance analytics and reporting. He previously worked at an Alaska based asset management firm, most recently serving as Manager of Performance Analytics, where he oversaw performance measurement frameworks and analytics processes. His background provides him with a disciplined, data driven approach to investment operations and portfolio analysis.

Daniel earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. He also holds the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement designation from the CFA Institute.

Amber Gunn-Holt, CTFA

Amber Gunn-Holt has been with Peak Trust Company since 2014 and currently serves as Fiduciary Team Manager. In this leadership role, Amber oversees fiduciary administration functions, supporting fiduciary officers and staff in the delivery of consistent, high-quality trust and IRA administration across the organization. Her deep institutional knowledge and hands-on experience make her a trusted leader within the fiduciary team.

Throughout her career at Peak, Amber has administered a wide range of trust and IRA accounts, including trusts sitused in Alaska, life insurance trusts, trusteed IRAs, and self-directed IRAs holding alternative assets. Her progression from Fiduciary Assistant to senior leadership reflects her strong commitment to professional growth, operational excellence, and client service.

In addition to her day to day work, Amber frequently attends industry specific conferences and has co-authored articles on topics such as IRAs, charitable trust planning, and life insurance trusts. She is known for her collaborative approach and dedication to knowledge-sharing, both within the Peak team and the broader trust and estate planning community.

Amber holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Education from the University of Alaska Anchorage, has earned the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation through the Cannon Financial Institute and completed the Peak Trust Management Certification course offered by the University of Delaware. Her expertise and leadership contribute greatly to Peak’s continued growth and commitment to fiduciary excellence.

Mariam Hall, CFMP

Mariam Hall has been with Peak Trust Company since 2018, currently as Marketing Coordinator & Communications Coordinator. In her role, Mariam manages the execution of all marketing, communications and public relations functions and supports the strategic alignment of growth and process improvement initiatives across every department. In addition to her marketing and communications role, Mariam is a contributing member of Peak’s Operations Technology Steering Committee, a subcommittee of the firm’s trust committee focused on the continuous improvement of Peak’s operational excellence through the adoption of technology.

Mariam is active in the Anchorage estate planning community. She previously served as Executive Director of the Anchorage Estate Planning Council, and remains an active member of the council. Mariam is also closely involved in efforts to support the creation and passing of trust and estate legislation in Alaska. Since spearheading its inception in early 2019, Mariam has continued to run the administrative functions of Alaska Trust & Estate Professionals (ATEP), a formal working group established to further advance Alaska’s trust and estate planning law for the benefit of Alaska and Alaskan professionals.

Mariam brings over a decade of experience in C-level executive support, event coordination, digital marketing, and business development. As a dynamic thinker and strong communicator, she is passionate about providing top-tier operational support and coordinating strategy development and implementation. Mariam has co-authored several articles and frequently writes educational content on a variety of trust and estate planning topics. Prior to stepping into her current role, Mariam first joined the Peak team as Executive Assistant to the President and CEO. Mariam earned her Certified Financial Marketing Professional (CFMP) designation from the American Bankers Association.

Jillian Johnson

Jillian Johnson has been with Peak Trust Company since 2020 and serves as a Fiduciary Officer in the Nevada office, where she oversees the administration of Nevada trusts. Her expertise spans the establishment and administration of Directed Trusts, Incomplete Non-Grantor Trusts, Spousal Lifetime Access Trusts, and trusts holding unique or illiquid assets such as closely held business interests, private equity, and real estate. Jillian’s attention to detail and ability to navigate complex trust structures are integral to helping clients achieve their estate planning and wealth preservation goals.

Within the Las Vegas estate planning community, Jillian is an active member of the Southern Nevada Estate Planning Council, collaborating with attorneys, financial advisors, and other professionals to provide comprehensive trust solutions. Her involvement reflects Peak Trust Company’s commitment to being a trusted partner for the professional advisory community.

Before becoming a Fiduciary Officer, Jillian gained invaluable experience across several key roles at Peak Trust Company, including trust administration, trust operations, and accounts payable and receivable. This breadth of experience has given her a deep understanding of the operational and client-facing aspects of trust administration, enabling her to deliver exceptional service tailored to each client’s needs.

With over a decade of experience in trust administration and extensive collaboration with estate planning attorneys and financial advisors, Jillian is dedicated to providing personalized and proactive guidance. She is currently pursuing her Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation from Cannon Financial Institute, further solidifying her expertise in trust and fiduciary services.

Jillian’s dedication to professional growth and her holistic approach to trust administration make her a vital resource for Peak Trust Company’s clients and a key contributor to the company’s mission of delivering sophisticated, client-centric fiduciary solutions.
